River 02:35
I tried to fight the frost with fire and I lost. I thawed a lot of ice. I thought I got it right, but it's too damn cold and my coals can't hold their own. I'm over my head in a bone dry riverbed. Goodbye my friend. I'll see you when winter ends and the weather's warm enough to swim. When the mountains send their burden down and turn the river wide again. 'till then I'll dream in my bed alone of a stream in a bed of stone stained black with ash and soot. And I'll watch that thin line as it bends and winds until it finds its way to the only home it knows. And I'll try to fight the frost.

Return (free) 03:30
I'm coming home tomorrow bringing bags back packed with broken bones 'cause I can't stand to leave them here alone. Knowing no one wants them even though they've got so much to give and their only sin was living until they gave in. I'm coming home tomorrow and I'm hoping open arms aren't far away when I come crawling to your door calling please forgive me. I'll write you a letter dear, apologies and all you want to hear. Apologies my dear. I will be too honest; tell you all I've wanted to say; news you never knew you had to know before today. I'm writing you a letter that I hope you never read. You won't need to see what's written to know you're getting a better sight of me. All my long lost friends who helped me haunt the empty road are still what I miss the most as California's golden ghost. All my long lost friends still haunt the empty roads. The one I miss the most is California's golden ghost. I'm coming home tomorrow bringing bags back packed with broken bones. I can't stand to leave them here alone. Knowing no one wants them even though they've got some life left to live and their only sin was giving until they gave in. I'm coming home tomorrow and I'm hoping open arms aren't far away when I come crawling to your door calling please forgive me.

High 04:03
I have known love to rise above all of the heights I longed for before I belonged to one. The heights I've fallen from. When I hit the ground I found the friends that I had let down. Friends I thought were gone forever were waiting to welcome me home again. They said, "Welcome home, welcome home, Come home" Now, I've known love. Yes, I have known love. And I know of no love hiding above the white that can rise above the light of the glow from below.

Low 05:02
As the whale holds his breath and tries to find a private place to hide when he dives into the dark and unknowable depths and buries himself alive. As the tree in the wind who screams when she learns that she will need to abandon her life of silence. She will bend she will give in. Sometimes we need to let ourselves be destroyed by the things that are the best for us in our lives.
